| This website provides information about gliding as a recreational activity and as an exciting aero-sport. It also provides information about the GCP [Gliding Centre at Pune]. GCP is India's oldest centre and till date the most active hub for gliding in the country. This website is created under the 'Skywards' initiative run by a group of glider pilots who fly at GCP. The aim of the 'Skywards' initiative is to popularise gliding in India with a hope that more and more people will take up the sport and it will eventually lead to better gliding facilities and setting up of more centres across India. You are welcome to explore the website and welcome to experience gliding at GCP. If you have been fascinated about flying, there is a section on 'Learning to Fly', written specifically for you. Most of the content of this website is introductory and written for those who are new to gliding.
